Do It Yourself Am Loop Antenna

mothers-and daughters-

relatives when they arrived home from distant cities for a wedding, the cruel stories about mothers-in-law that the poor were dying of starvation and hunger, and cruel in-laws, which enchants the poor boys making away from their families, were an important part of talk in the afternoon.

was a little surprised to come to Italy and find that even here the stories about mothers-in-law and did not fail, although not with the intensity that you hear in India. Not only in Italy in recent decades, I heard countless variations of these stories, more or less all the countries where I was. There are also laws and kinds of stories, but do not have the same level of melodrama and of emotional intensity.

Once, this theme was common in the world of Bollywood, but that was before the arrival of private channels of TV. If the theme of telenovelas can be considered the yardstick for measuring the importance of a social problem in people's lives, certainly in India, the subject of mothers-and daughters-in spite of social changes and economic and social progress, continues to be important given its continued and pervasive presence in the various television channels today. One of the most popular telenovelas in recent years has been, "Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Kyonki Thi " that is, "Because the mother-in-law was a daughter." I

thought to the subject of mothers-and daughters, when I read the new book by Sudha Murty , "The dollar and daughter ( publisher Felici, 2010) translated into Italian by Jaya Murthy .

Sudha Murty, the writer of the book is an engineer and is the wife of Narayan Murty , the chief founder of Infosys , one of the major computer companies in the world, which has made Bangalore Silicon Valley of India. The book was written from this same point of view, a middle-class person who knows and appreciates its traditional Indian roots, but at the same time, can look to Western culture in a balanced way, recognizing the positive and negative values.

The book tells the story of Gowramma, a woman from Bangalore, and the two sons of his wife Chandra and Ghirish. Chandra married with Jamuna, a rich girl of Bangalore, while living in America, while married to Ghirish Vinutha, a poor orphan girl and Dharwad, he lives with his mother-in-law in India.

The first part of the book focuses on the difficult relationship between good daughter and mother-in-law Vinutha Gowramma, blinded by the wealth of the other American daughter, is closer to the stereotypes of Indians and mothers-in-law, where everything seems to be divided between good and bad , senza molte altre sfumature.

His translation into Italian, in his rhythm, word choice and sentence structure, is able to maintain the originality of the text in Indian language (Kannada). I have read many books by Indian authors translated by people of great professionalism and sensitivity, but I never had a feeling like this when I read this book, read the words in Italian with every Indian. It seems that the book follows the existing rules of writing in Italian and part of writing the rules Kannada. In this sense, the book has an exotic flavor that goes beyond the plot of the story.

The book is also an authoritative source to learn about the Hindu traditions of Karnataka, told in a natural way as part of the plot of the book, do not put to explain and tell the West as often happens with books written in English by Indian authors.

If you like Bollywood movies, do not miss this book. I think that will give you a bit 'of those same emotions associated with masala films. Not great literature, but it is a pleasant book. As with all of Bollywood masala movies, you already know how it will finish the story, but the journey to discover it has its moments of surprise.

Bollywood 2010 - The most significant films (part two)

This is the second part the festival "Bollywood films of 2010, the most significant."

All agreed that Hrithik is very beautiful in this film, but the screenplay of the film was a disaster. I tried to watch it but after 30 minutes, I too have lost patience!

Kites - Bollywood 2010 Film più significativi

was also released in May Badmash Company (Bad Company), by Parmeet Sethi with actors Shahid Kapoor and Anushka Sharma. The film was about a bunch of guys who want to get rich, and bring you into the world of gambling. Instead, after they become honest for the company to save the father of one of them. The film has not been a great success but was welcomed by young people. However, I did not have the opportunity to watch it, so I could not talk much about this film.

Badmash Company - Bollywood 2010 Film più significativi

June was the month of two big movies - and Rajneeti Ravaan.

Rajneeti (Politics) director Prakash Jha was a film with a long list of stars from Bollywood (Ajay Devgan , Ranbeer Kapoor, Katrina Kaif , Arjun Rampal , Manoj Bajpai Patek and Nana) and was a modern interpretation of the ancient story of the Mahabharata, set in the world of the struggle between two branches of a family for political power.

Rajneeti - Bollywood 2010 Film più significativi

Some parts of this movie, I did thinking vaguely Godfather saga. The film has a continuous history with sudden twists and violence, which gives little time to think, and was appreciated by critics and audiences. Rajneeti was one of the biggest commercial success of Bollywood in 2010.

Rajneeti is not your typical romantic Bollywood masala films and perhaps, people who do not know the social reality of the Indian state of Bihar will struggle to understand its nuances. Nevertheless, the film deserves to be seen. The part played by Katrina Kaif towards the end of the film, a young widow who decides to enter politics, seems inspired by the figure of Sonia Gandhi .

Raavan (Raavan was the king in the history of bad Ramayana, the sacred book of Hindus) is the new film by Mani Ratnam with actors Abhishekh Bacchan, Aishwarya Rai , Suriya Vikram and Govinda. The film had an old story, already seen many times with a poor boy to avenge the death of his sister, kidnapped his wife's bad cop.

Raavan - Bollywood 2010 Film più significativi

The film was innovative for the treatment of the two main protagonists - the tips, creating a certain uneasiness in the viewer - has the poor guy as the villain and the police as the good and plays with prejudices against the urban and rural people, poor, badly dressed, and without manners. So the film confounds our sense of right and wrong. For most of the films, the poor boy is presented as the bad guy, though poor, cruel and a bit 'crazy mad, while the policeman is presented as a civilized person, well educated and good. Despite appearances, it is the poor the most noble and loyal.

I found very provocative film, a film that forces us to rethink our prejudices, because we do not judge people by what they do, but how they present themselves and what we look like. However, most critics and the general public in India, did not like the film, which was among the commercial disaster of 2010. The criticism of the interpretation of Abhishekh Bacchan were particularly ferocious, but personally I liked his performance.

From this film, one of the songs presented here, "de killies Thok" (the nail) which speaks of the rebellion of the downtrodden against the powerful, but at the same time, dance has the poor people as devils, people unstable and cruel, up to confound our ideas about right and wrong.

Ravaan was presented at the festival Venice Film Festival in 2010. Luisa Ceretto had written this film :
Author of the most prestigious of Kollywood, the Tamil Bollywood, Mani Ratnam is engaged with a text that draws on the ancient epic poem by Valmiki , Ramayana, one of the cornerstones of Indian culture and literature. Presented in two versions, Tamil, Raavanan, Hindi, Raavan, the film combines very well right from the start the need for entertainment to art films. The musical numbers are extraordinary efficiency and elegance are never mere pretext spectacular, but inherently functional to the story. In telling the story and adapt to the valuable work (which tells the story of Rama and his wife, Sita, who is kidnapped by Ravana, king of the Demons), the Tamil film moves the action to the present day in a natural setting, a true co-protagonist of the narrative. A landscape taken in all its glory, where majestic scenery with lakes, thick forests and gorges are continuing at a rapid and suspension bridges, forcing the protagonists to proceed cautiously, profoundly changing the perception and certainty. If Veera Dev is Good and Evil in the film there is however no representation and Manichaean battle that takes place is the interior, with themselves, with their own fears, in an ongoing dialogue with the point of view and perspective opponent, the enemy - that is happens, in fact, the female lead - in the chance, to quote the words of the director, there could be a Raavan, a dark side, within each of us ...
July 2010 had four major films - I hate love stories, Udaan, Tere Bin Laden and Once Upon A Time In Mumbai. In addition there were two disappointing films, but with major Bollywood star - Milenge Milenge and Khatt Meetha.

I hate love stories (I hate romance) with the young actors Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor , director Puneet Malhotra , was a romantic comedy, a bit 'bland. The film is about the romance between two "friends" - she is the costume designer in the world Bollywood Shahrukh Khan and his dreams while he is the assistant director and who does not believe in love.

I hate love stories - Bollywood 2010 Film più significativi

together to shoot a film in New Zealand, of course, the two find love. In between is the usual misunderstanding that the two away for a while ', followed by the usual happy ending. The film's story was very predictable.

Both actors are sons of art - Imran is the grandson of the famous Aamir Khan, while Sonam is Anil Kapoor's daughter , known in Italy for films such as The Millionnaire of Danny Boyle and television series like "24 hours". Both actors are beautiful and they know act decently. The music of the film was not bad. So a movie with no great pretensions, but above all a pleasant pastime, has found enough viewers to become a commercial success.

Udaan (The flight) was the real surprise of 2010. The first film by a new young director ( Vikramaditya Motwani ) student Anurag Kashyap with new or little-known actors ( Rajat Marmecha , Ronit Roy), was far from the canons of the Bollywood film, with a strong history of troubled relations between a teenager who dreams of freedom and an authoritarian father and violent. The film has charmed audiences and critics.

Udaan - Bollywood 2010 Film più significativi

Rajat Barmecha in his first film, playing the young Rohan and Ronit Roy (an actor who worked mostly in the Indian TV series) as the father, were wonderful. The child actor, aayana borad, playing the brother Arjun, was very natural.

Udaan, presented at the festival Caanes in May 2010, will surely be nominated for several awards, both as the best film of the year as best actor. If you find a movie intense and strong, inspiring message of hope, do not miss Udaan.

Tere Bin Laden ("Without you Laden" or "Your Bin Laden") was another unusual little film of 2010 has found that appreciation by audiences and critics. Written and directed by another young director struggling with his first film, Abhishekh Sharma, the film is set in Pakistan and its main character, is a Pakistani rock singer, Ali Zafar , in his first appearance in the world film.

Tere Bin Laden - Bollywood 2010 Film più significativi

In the film, Ali is a television journalist who dreams of immigrating to America, but can not receive a U.S. visa because he is perceived as a possible Islamic terrorist. While they're running a feature on the struggles of chickens, a very popular sport among men in rural Pakistan, accidentally sees a farmer who is obsessed with chickens and who looks like Bin Laden. So Ali devises a plan to record a message of threat to the United States, so be famous and be able to get the visa.

The film is an Indian film director, but is set in Pakistan and traveled with the Pakistani player, so it has sparked some controversy and is not released in Pakistan. It 's a comedy irreverent and ironic to the Islamic culture of Pakistan and to American culture.

Ali Jafar has been appreciated as an actor and has already received offers from other Bollywood films. The new actor, Pradhuman Singh in the role of Noora, a farmer who loves the chickens to the madness and dreams of becoming the champion of the struggle of the Gauls and the most important merchant who sells eggs, has found much appreciation and has received several offers to continue to play as Osama Bin Laden.

I think by now everyone has an idea of the Muslim people who dress in the traditional way - is said to resemble the Taliban, are all perceived as potential terrorists and give rise to some unease in the West. The film helps to see them as real people, maybe sometimes a bit of 'closed, maybe a bit' sexist and retrograde, but of people and not monsters. Only this fact, this film deserves to be seen.

Once upon a time in Mumbai (Once Upon a Time in Bombay), by Milan Lutharia was set Bombay in the early seventies and tells the story of the mafia leader Sultan Mirza ( Ajay Devgan), his romance with actress Rehana ( Kangana Ranaut ) and its relationship with the young Shoaib (Emraan Hashmi) who one day will replace it.

Once upon a time in Mumbai - Bollywood 2010 Film più significativi

The film based on the real character of Haji Mastan and Dawood Ibrahim, two gangsters in Mumbai, has been praised for its careful reconstruction of a bygone era, for their excellent performances and music. Surely this film will be among those who win the awards of Bollywood in 2010.

Milenge Milenge (meeting) director Satish Kaushik had a great couple , Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor , known in Italy for Love arrives by train (Jab We Met). Milenge Milenge, is inspired by the Hollywood movie, Serendipity (When love is magic), but the main problem was that this film has 4-5 years to complete and was perceived as a dated and old movies. In addition, the film lacked the romantic magic of "Jab We Met".

Milenge Milenge - Bollywood 2010 Film più significativi

Khatt Meetha (Bitter Sweet) by director Priyadarshan had Akshay Kumar with a new actress Trisha. The film is about corruption has infiltrated everyday life in India, and with whom to be reckoned with even the most trivial things. It is said that the film suffered because it was perceived as a play while he was a serious film. But it was rejected by audiences and critics.

Khatta Meetha - Bollywood 2010 Film più significativi

The month of August had several major motion pictures - Aisha, Peeplo Live Lafangey Parindey, Aashayein and We Are Family.

Aisha new director of Rajshri Ojha with his first film, was based on the novel of Emma Jane Austen and had Sonam Kapoor with Abhay Deol . Set during the company in Delhi, the film was about the young Aisha, his rich friends and their romantic confusion. Billed as the first "chick-flick" (film for boyfriend) of Bollywood, the film was a parade of pretty faces, beautiful clothing and great brands, without much substance.

Aisha - Bollywood 2010 Film più significativi

Part romantic, between Aisha (Sonam) and Arjun (Abhay) was not very convincing, despite the beauty of the natural sympathy and Sonam Abhay Deol.

One of the songs from the film, "Gal Mithi Mithi bol" (Tell me sweet sweet words) has become very popular and felt in all Indian marriages of last season!

Peeplo Live (Live from Peeplo) is a small movie neoregista Anushka Rizvi, produced by Aamir Khan , with virtually unknown actors and set in a small village. The film touches on the theme of suicide of the poor and indebted farmers of the sensationalism of the news by television audience looking for. The film tackles a serious subject in the mood lighter, more like a comedy that ultimately leaves a bitter taste in the mouth and makes you think.

Nandu decide di aiutare Pinky a realizzare his dream, despite his blindness, and in the process they fall in love so Pinky discovers the truth that Nandu is in charge of his accident.

Lafangey Parindey - Bollywood 2010 Film più significativi

The film was not bad though Neil is not very appropriate for the role of boxer shorts from a crude barraccopoli.

Aashayein (Hope) by director Nagesh Kuknoor had John Abraham, but it was an abstract film and confused about the last months of life of a young man named Rahul, when he learns she has lung cancer and moves to a center where he meets other people waiting to die.

We are family - Bollywood 2010 Film più significativi

Basato sul film americano Stepmom (con Susan Sarandon e Julia Roberts ), il film "We Are Family"era ambientato in Australia, ma non ha avuto molto successo, forse perché sembrava un film occidentale. Nelle famiglie allargate indiane con l'omnipresenza dei parenti vicini e lontani nella vita quotidiana, l'idea di una donna che cerca una nuova madre per i figli when she discovered she had cancer not to leave them alone, was a bit 'strange.

And so ends the second part of this analysis the most important films of 2010. In the next (last) installment of this festival will also include films released in the last four months of 2010.

You can also read the first part of this article , if you had lost.

Il biossido di carbonio serve alla pianta, perchè attraverso di essa è in grado di portare avanti una serie reactions essential for the survival of plant cells, in doing so, however, enter the atmosphere in the form of steam, water, another essential element for plant survival, as indeed of any body. In drought conditions, a plant can close its stomata to prevent water leakage is too high in quantity, but in this way, the plant greatly reduces the amount of carbon dioxide that can take from the outside, everything can greatly reduce photosynthesis and growth.
Mickelbart Mike, assistant professor of horticulture; Mike Hasegawa, professor of horticulture and Chal Yul Yoo, uno studente laureato orticoltura, hanno scoperto che una mutazione genetica in
Arabidopsis thaliana
GTL1
"The decrease in transpiration leads to increased drought tolerance in plants mutant ," said Yoo. " In this way the plants are able to release less water
" genes that are known to be involved in the control of the stomata are about 20, including
SDD1
was highly expressed in the mutant. SDD1 is a gene that is responsible for Adjusting the number of stomata on the leaves. In the mutant, with GTL1 not working, SDD1 is highly expressed, resulting in the development of a smaller number of stomata. Mickelbart said the discovery is important because it opens the possibility that there is a natural way to improve the drought tolerance of crops without reducing biomass or product.

Electrocution And Bleeding

The awakening of consciousness

In India, whenever there is a terrorist attack, is taken for granted that the work of Islamic terrorists. But this theory of Islamic terrorism had to meet again when he came out two years ago that some of the attacks were the works of Hindu groups against Muslims.

seems a paradox that preaches an ascetic Hindu ahimsa (non violence) against all living beings, which is vegetarian, it can also approve or worse, be directly involved in terrorist attacks, where human beings die. When came the first reports of people wearing orange clothes (orange is the color of renunciation in India, and sadhus or ascetics who renounce their material possessions to take him) involved in terrorist attacks, the phenomenon has now been labeled " Saffron Terrorism" (terrorism orange).

Hindu parties and conservative groups have launched a bitter attack against the police and the media, saying che non era vero, che era solo un modo per screditare gli indù.

Ho deciso di fare un pentimento ... vorrei incontrare i Islamic fundamentalists to explain to them .. . "

I do not know how many hearts will change and transform, the words of Swami. From the conservative Hindu groups have now raised allegations of torture and confessions under pressure, but the letters written by Swami leave no doubt. I think hearts full of hatred, become blind and deaf can not hear anything that is not in line with their ideas. But perhaps at least some followers of Swami will review their way of thinking. I hope.

Twilight Princess Wolf At Will

To the new world with the chains of the past

Note: This article discusses the caste among the Indian diaspora in the world . It 'an abstract of a paper on the broader issue of caste prepared for a lesson for a course in sociology presso il dipartimento delle lingue orientali dell'università di Bologna.

***

Oggi le People can decide to change the country and take a flight to move to their new land to create new diasporas, but they are a small minority. For most of diasporas, their roots lie in painful memories, separation and death.

Ancient Indian diaspora

The trip started from the caste groups of eastern India to populate the islands to the east, from Bali to the Pacific Ocean and at a later stage, the journey of Buddhism and Hinduism from India to the 'Far East, to the colonies Champa in Vietnam in 300 BC, can be considered the first examples of the Indian diaspora. Apart from the archaeological ruins such as temples Angkor Wat in Cambogia , sappiamo poco o niente di queste antiche diaspore indiane.

Diaspore business: On one hand, the Indians who worked with the British Masters, traveled to other countries of the English colonies to accompany their masters because they were considered "good and faithful servants, on the other, the other colonies represent new markets for traders Indians. Most of these people were of the varna Vaishya (merchants). The children of these diasporas are still present in many countries of the former British colonies, from Kenya to Fiji.

These Indian communities had a system of commercial and social support to be in their new countries, other people of their extended families and their villages of origin. For these communities were very closed to the outside and had a very hard to ensure that no community member violates the traditional rules of caste.

In several East African countries, many of these communities continue to live in very closed communities and are often surrounded by strong local resentment. Sometimes this resentment erupts in violent incidents, as in Uganda in the seventies. Among these there are also people of other faiths, largely Muslims, who often are characterized by very orthodox and conservative families.

Minal Hajratwala , born and raised in America, the fourth generation of a family of traders started from a village in Gujarat in the north west of India at the end of the nineteenth century to establish a commercial empire in Fiji, tells the story of this migration and its experience of being a different person (homosexual) in the context of the Indian diaspora in his book "Leaving India "
During the era of imperialism, when the definition of the human being was" man "and the definition of man was" white ", none of this [equality of persons] was obvious. .. the idea of equality was equally impossible for many Indians. Of course, my ancestors, who had arrived with their pride related to their caste, they transplanted in the social hierarchies in their adopted land. kaffirs (non-believers) and "colored" goriyas (Bianchi) and kariyas (blacks), chinaas (Chinese) and jewktaas (Jews) were immediately cataloged minds already accustomed to the social order. .. without looking at the actual occupations of the people, the caste system offered a sense of security, identity, relationships with others, and which coincided conveniently with the South African racial system.

Leaving India by Minal Hazratwala

Diasporas result of forced migration: Migration in India were more consistent in the second half of the nineteenth century, those of "workers who" (indentured Labourers), encouraged with the promise of escape from poverty for labor more docile, manageable, and inexpensive to replace the African slaves to work on plantations in colonial countries such as Mauritius islands and countries of the Caribbean. The writer Amitav Ghosh in his book "Sea of Poppies " tells the story of these diasporas.

A booklet written in 1840 by the English Anti-Slavery Society , explained the request of the owners of plantations of Demerara (British Guyana) and Jamaica to attract and convince the Indian laborers in 1936 because "the situation in the reclusive African was very difficult and likely to remain without staff .

The former employees have left India in 1938 (the same year that slavery was formally abolished) with " girmitiya " (contracts) for 5 years. Only after the start they discovered they faced a trip that lasted months, during which many of them would lose their lives and once arrived in their new countries, they should live as slaves because they had to pay their "travel expenses", and at the end of five years if they wanted to return to home, had to have enough money to "pay the return journey." It was the beginning of a new slavery, even if people were "free" when they wanted to go back!

In the following decades, hundreds of miles of Indians have left India in this way for building new diasporas in different parts of the world. For example, until 1920, had reached 240,000 people in Guyana English, 36,000 in Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago 144,000 in . No one knows how many had left India and never arrive at their new place.

These people mainly from the north-east India, where they spoke Bhojpuri and other dialects, were characterized by poverty, so many of them were people who belonged to lower castes.

Most of these people living in isolated ghettos in the new lands, without the ability to mix with white Europeans, plantation owners and isolated even by people of African origin (ex-slaves), for " were rebels and not very respectful to the authorities of the white . Their new countries often had the law delineating the geographical areas where they could live. For example, in South Africa , the Indians had to live in Durban.

The policy of "divide and rule" which gave certain privileges to the Indians against the African slave, was used to create divisions between people who are exploited and avoid the common front against the colonial masters. For example, the Robben Island prison near Cape Town where he was a prisoner Nelson Mandela, had three types of diets - a diet for poor blacks, a diet a bit 'better for the "colored" Indian and better for whites (in the picture, the diets to sign with colored / Asian and Bantu / blacks in prison on Robben Island).

Board showing diets for asians and blacks in Robben island prison

Communications with the country of origin and the chance to get back in behind were almost non-existent. In the early years, most of the " girmitiya were" men only because they had to work on plantations. Only a few years later when the riots began to erupt, are responsible for transportation of the workforce were compelled to carry the women. This

forced cohabitation in tight spaces and wretched, had weakened the divisions of caste among the emigrants, and reinforced the common characteristics related to language, religion and traditions. On the other hand, the physical and cultural isolation, had created very closed community where the traditions were strictly observed. So while their communities of origin in India, could continue to grow and change with the times, these diasporas have continued to preserve a version of Indiana 100 years ago until a few years ago, when the countries gained independence and the changes of globalization have changed their state of isolation.

VS Naipaul, the writer from Trinidad and Tobago and the winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature, has written repeatedly of his travels in the land of his ancestors. For example, in his book " India - a million addressed," he wrote of the Indian community:
was in Trinidad that my ancestors have gone, around 1880 .. groups of Indian immigrants were mixed. They were miniature India, Hindus and Muslims, people of different caste. They were marginalized, without representatives, and without a political tradition. Were isolated by their language and their culture from other people with whom they live. They were also isolated from India (The trip by steam ships required several weeks). In these circumstances, they developed something that had never experienced in India: a sense of belonging to an Indian community. This sense of community will prevail over their religion and their caste.
new diaspora of globalization

After the independence of India in 1947, young people started to seek opportunities abroad to improve their quality of life, largely in America, England and Australia. Until the nineties, for these new diasporas, often middle-class people up, it was not easy to keep in touch with the homeland apart from a trip home every 2-3 years. So often created two identities - the most cosmopolitan identity for friends and colleagues or study, and most Indian identity for the local community of Indians.

After the nineties, with the gradual enlargement of the internet revolution, with the tools of email, forums, blogs, facebook, twitter, etc.. These two identities extend beyond local borders, but often remain two worlds or less separated.

In this new world for friendship, the boundaries of caste seem to be more flexible in terms of dialogue and social interaction with other Indians. However, for weddings, especially in the first generations of migrants, the issue of caste and geographical origin (linked to other factors such as language, culture, eating habits, etc..) continue to be relevant to the selection of partners.

The second and further generations instead of the points were already critical even before the computer age, because they conflict with their parents and grandparents, who lived with regrets "the loss of Indianness understood as language, dress and behavior "in children, but especially for the choice of partner for marriage. Over the past two decades, this process has become even more pronounced though still today, many young people born and raised in the West, continue to accept that their family to the groom or the bride to choose for them, or when searching for their partners through Indian matrimonial sites, they do so on base delle caste e provenienze geografiche delle loro famiglie di origine.

Ramesh Gupta, "Il boy's father. "This was not as bad as the other message I saw when I access the computer at home in Fort Greene and I found this message that asked, without mincing words, the date, time and place of I was born. Presumably they sent this message to see if the astrological point of view, I could be a harmonious bride for their son ... This

Bollywood: Best film of 2010 (Part 1)

year just ended, as it was for the world of Bollywood? Which films released this year deserved to be seen and what others have been a disappointment? As usual, I present my brief analysis of major films released in Bollywood in 2010 .

This first part of the show about movies released between January and April 2010, and we start with the films released in January 2010 .

Rann (War) : The film director Ram Gopal Varma (Ramu) on the world of television journalism in India. Today in India there are over 500 private television channels, of which more than 100 broadcast news 24 hours only 24, in various Indian languages and dialects. Ramu's film speaks of the power exercised by these TV and interests that are behind.

Rann, un film di R.G. Varma

The idea for this film probably started in November 2008 when a group of terrorists come from Pakistan had taken hostage in the city of Mumbai (Bombay) for a few days.

After the capture / killing of terrorists, Prime Minister of the state of Maharashtra, Mr. Vilasrao Deshmukh had gone to visit the Taj Mahal, one of the theaters in the terrorist attack and soon had a scandal. Some TV movie was the sight of Prime Minister Deshmukh state, accompanied by his son (actor Riteish Deshmukh) and director Ramu, and had immediately launched accusations that the director had gone to visit the hotel to see the damage caused by terrorists because he wanted make a movie that was not interested in the tragedy of people killed by terrorists, but it was a jackal who wanted to gain from the misfortune of others.

The news was picked up by other TV channels and soon had inflamed the souls wounded by a terrorist attack and in the end, Mr. Deshmukh had to resign from the role of the Prime Minister of the State. Ramu had tried to make clear that his presence in that visit was a coincidence without any premeditation, but no one had listened. The film

Rann, but does not mention the terrorist attack on private television broadcasting news 24 hours on 24, and that sometimes "manufacture" news or presenting them in a sensational way to gain audience. This is a serious movie with two good interpretations of Amitabh Bacchan and Ritesh Deshmukh . This movie has the usual ingredients of Bollywood, that is, dances, music and romance, but it's a fascinating film, although it has not found commercial success in India.

Ishqiya (Flirty) : The first film by Abhishekh Chaubey, assistant and collaborator of director Vishal Bhardwaj , was the first commercial and critical success of 2010. The film tells an unusual love triangle, seasoned with constant surprises. It 's the story of two criminals, Khalujaan (Naseeruddin Shah ) and Muggles (Arshad Warsi ) and a cheerful vedova, Krishna ( Vidya Balan ).

to Sangam Road (the road to the river) : It 's a serious film which tells the story of an urn with the ashes of Mahatma Gandhi in the background of the Muslim community in a town in northern India. The film takes place in Allahabad, the holy city where they meet the three rivers, the Ganges, Yamuna and the mythical Saraswati. The meeting point of the rivers is known as the Sangam (literally, "meeting"), and is the privileged place for the immersion of the ashes of the dead Hindu.

Road to Sangam di Amit Rai

The film by Amit Rai is based on a true story. Mahatma Gandhi had expressed the wish that his death, his ashes were divided into small pieces and scattered in various rivers of India. It seems that one of these urns with ashes had remained in a vault for many years and was brought to Allahabad for immersion in the waters of the Sangam many years later.

The film is about the explosion of a bomb in the city of Allahabad and the suspicions of the police is the work of Islamic terrorists. So part of the offensive against the Muslim neighborhoods and several young men are caught by the police to perform searches. Protests in the Muslim community, a young life lost and the Muslim community says the strike of all the shops run by Muslims for police executives non saranno puniti.

Nel film, la comunità Muslims accuse the Indian state of discrimination that have deteriorated in recent years, after the rise of Islamic fundamentalism, and reaffirms that discrimination fuel the fundamentalism.

On the one hand, the film explains the difficulties of moderate Muslims in India. Second, the film poses many questions about the meaning of being Muslim in India, when you see people living in India but they give more importance to Pakistan's leaders and ideas and see religion as more important than membership of a nation.

The grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, Tushar Gandhi , has a small part in the film. This is also a serious film, not suitable for lovers of traditional Bollywood.

Other notable films in January 2010 with the biggest stars in Bollywood were Pyaar Impossible (Impossible Love) with Uday Chopra and Priyanka Chopra , Veer (Brave) with Salman Khan and Chance Pe Dance (Dancing for the event) with Shahid Kapoor and Genelia D'Souza . All three films have been rejected both by critics and audiences.

The most important films of February 2010 was My Name Is Khan (My Name Is Khan) by director Karan Johar , with a moderate critical and commercial success. The film tells the story of a Muslim man, Rizwan Khan (Shahrukh Khan ) affected by Asperger syndrome (a form of autism), a native of India and resident in America. Rizwan falls in love with Mandira ( Kajol), a Hindu widow with a son, and wants to marry her. Rizwan's brother (Jimmy Shergill ), is not happy that his brother wants to marry a Hindu, but Rizwan do not listen.

My name is khan, un film di Karan Johar

After September 11, 2001, change the perception of Muslims in America. Rizwan and Mandira's son becomes the target of other boys in school because he bears a Muslim name, and dies in an accident. Rizwan on a journey to look for the American president to tell him that he is a Muslim but not a terrorist.

I saw the film in India, and found it in the second half ending with the hero visiting the families of soldiers killed in Afghanistan blacks and helps families affected by Hurricane Katrina. Instead, I quite liked the first part of the film.

The film was dubbed into other languages and has been shortened to its release in America and Europe. It 'was the most popular film of the year in the Middle East and Pakistan.

The film was released in Italy at the end of November 2010, but perhaps not very successful, even if the opinions of the critics were not entirely negative. For example, Giancarlo Zuppolo has written in his review, "Karan Johar can develop various topics of diversity without ever taking the tone and preachers going to touch all the strings of a public simple but not stupid. The mental handicap, the separation within the religious universe of Asian subcontinent, the irrational to the Muslim fighters unleashed after the attack on the Twin Towers come as strong themes in a film that does not mind the tearful scene as well as in the best traditions, the sequence with a song and dance. In a oversized life as a film but never boring flowing. " Other notable films

of February 2010 were Toh Baat Pakki (Then the marriage is fixed) with Tabu and Sharman Joshi, Teen Patti (three cards) with Madhavan and Amitabh Bacchan and Khartik Calling Khartik (Karthik called Khartik) with Farhaan Akhtar and Deepika Padukone.

March 2010 saw several new films including Love Sex aur Dhokha (new actors - Amit Sial, Anshuman Jha, Arya Banerjee, etc..) Right Yaa Wrong (right or wrong) with Sunny Deol Konkani Sen and Irfan Khan, Athithi Tum Kab Jaoge (Guest when you go away) with Ajay Devgan, Paresh Rawal and Konkani Sen and Well Done Abba (Bravo Dad) with Manissha Lamba and Boman Irani.

Of these, the most important film was Love, Sex aur Dhokha (Love, sex and betrayal) of the director Dibakar Banerjee. The film deals with the new morality among young Indians, influenced by new technologies (mobile, internet, etc..), The media and social networks like facebook. Some friends have described as a shocking movie at the same time, the most innovative films of Bollywood 2010. Unfortunately, I had the opportunity to see him.

Among the film in April 2010, I really liked the new film by Aparna Sen , The Japanese Wife (The Japanese wife).

Set in a remote village of Bengal in the years before the era of mobile phones and the Internet, The Japanese Wife tells the love story of a teacher of the village, Snehamoy ( Rahul Bose) with her friend of letters, Miyagi (Chigusa Takaku ) who lives in Japan.

The Japanese Wife, un film di Aparna Sen

Snehamoy lives with his aunt ( Mousami Chatterjee) and decides to marry his Japanese friend at a distance through a letter, is a relationship that both agree to share though, probably has no legal value. His wife Miyagi must look after her elderly mother in Japan. The two regularly exchange letters and some gifts.

Il film è stato presentato also to the film festival River to River in Florence in December 2010.

Housefull : The second most important film in April, Housefull was the first real movie "masala" Bollywood in 2010 that also had commercial success. The film's plot was convoluted and not very logical, but it was full of dances, colors and dances.

Housefull, un film di Sajid Khan

Arush (Akshay Kumar ) is one that brings bad luck in a casino and works to ensure that no customer will win too. He arrives in London by his friend Bob ( Riteish Deshmukh) and his wife Sheetal ( Lara Dutta) who work in a casino. In London, he married Devika Arush ( Jia Khan) daughter of the owner of the casino, but then discovers that his wife is in love with an English boy and Arush, who had married only to please his father (Randhir Kapoor ). Devika goes away with her boyfriend English and Arush left alone, or Saundarya falls in love with Sandy (Deepika Padukone ). Meanwhile, Sheetal's father (Boman Irani ) comes from India. For a mistake, Sheetal's Dad thinks his daughter is the wife of Arusha, and that the two have a child. All accepted to play the game. Bob pretends to be the butler and Saundrya becomes the nurse of a child stolen from a woman of African origin.
