The surprises never end. Who would have thought that he admired Benito Ravindranath, or even more unlikely, Ravindranath had once praised the Duce? Instead
had happened in 1926. The story appeared in the Indian magazine Outlook with a picture of Indian poet, Nobel laureate for literature, taken by the Duce and donated to the poet. Once
to go to England, there were no planes, or maybe there were but very more expensive, and especially traveling with the ships that arrived to the port of Brindisi. So most of the Indian characters, through Italy and France to go to the United Kingdom. Even Mahatma Gandhi had passed through Italy in December 1931 and he had met with Benito Mussolini .
The picture taken by Mussolini Tagore is kept in a forgotten museum of Kerala in southern India, in the village of G. Ramachandra, a disciple of Gandhi and Tagore. In the photo (from Outlook ) below, you see that picture and Sr Mythili, the current curator of the museum.
